Kumiko Saotome was born and raised in Saitama-city, Japan. She started her career as a photographer while studying at Nihon University College of Art, Department of Photography. After her successful exhibition with her friends at Emon Photo Gallery in Tokyo, she moved to New York in 2006. Saotome continued showcasing her works in exhibitions named Art Harlem, daydreaming, and Ephemeral in the United States in 2007. Additional photographs were also taken in New York for this collection. Ephemeral means Photography is the discovery of daily life. Images captured though the lens bring happiness and beauty into existence. Each moment in life is a fleeting time and precious. It is important to accumulate those discoveries in everyday life.
